Niṣāda Svara

Niṣāda – The ultimate note in the svara-saptaka, the culminating point. With this note elaborated in combination with other notes, a raga sees its consummation and is all set to rest in the “tāra Ṣaḍja”. While Rāga Haimavati fondles the lower Niṣāda – Nā also known as ‘kaiṣikī’, the Hindutani Rāg Bhairav felicitates the higher note Nī or “Suddha Nisād”.

Thus, the journey of the notes goes on and on from one Sadja to another. “Anumandra” to “Mandra”, “Mandra to Madhya”, “Madhya to Tāra”. “Tāra to Atitāra” and so on and so forth.
